Our founder and patrons – doctors who helped build UIMS and continue to guide its direction.
Founder & Chairman
A junior doctor in the NHS who created UIMS in 2020, recognising an opportunity for international medical students to collaborate across Czechia. He sits on the board of his alma mater, Masaryk University Faculty of Medicine, and LinkMedics, and is a passionate advocate for better support structures for international students and graduates.
Patron · NHS Doctor
Arinjoy (Sunny) is a junior doctor in the NHS and served as Vice-President during UIMS’ founding year. He founded and led student organisations at Palacký University and has a keen interest in expedition and adventure medicine.

A Masaryk University graduate working in the NHS since 2021. A co-founding committee member, Steven held several senior positions within UIMS, including Vice-President, before becoming a Patron. He is a keen clinical educator focused on creating collaborative educational opportunities.
Patron · Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon
Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at FN Brno and Assistant Professor at Masaryk University Faculty of Medicine. As a student, Jan was heavily involved in IFMSA CZ and the Academic Senate of LF MU.
